Book Stash
Frequently in random conversation I would be asked, “read any good books lately?” Turns out the world of full of readers, people who have the time and make it their priority to read. I was not one of those people… answering them “I don’t read.” They’d look at me indifferently, as if I didn’t know HOW to read. College wrecked me in terms of reading for pleasure. My theory became: if it can’t be summed up in a 3 page or less magazine article, it wasn’t worth the TnE. Until now. Amazing how priorities change when you, uh hum, change careers. I’m now referring to myself as a Severance Allocation Administrator. Jodie Trigidine, S.A.A I’ve always wanted an acronym after my name.
Here’s are some of the reads on my nightstand:
Desert Solitude – Edward Abbey
Five Languages of Love – Gary Chapman
Passages- Gail Sheehy
In Progress:
A Mile in Her Boots: Women Who Work in the Wild – Jennifer Bove
A Pirate Looks at Fifty – Dr. Jimmy Buffet
On Deck:
Ishmael – Daniel Quinn
If you have any worthy suggestions that I should add to my “On Deck” list, please drop a comment like it’s hot. Much appreciation.
